Summer is finally here and that means that everyone is super busy, and this means the youth group is as well. We have so many great things planned for the teens this summer and we want to make sure your teen is involved. We had a great first month back and are enjoying catching back up with your teens. We have also made some updates to the youth area downstairs as well as added a fire pit behind the gym. We launched Color Wars on Wednesdays which has been lots of fun. Each week we split up into two teams, compete at different fun themed events and have a devo at the end of the night. At the end of the summer the teen with the top points will win a prize from us. If your teen hasn't been yet, it's not too late to jump in and get involved. Themes for Color Wars still to come are Messy Night, Challenge Night, Boot Camp Night, and Water Night. Also, we re-launched Sunday School with our series Why Church? We are having some great conversations on faith and how the teens view the church and how they fit into our church specifically. After talking with the teens we decided to change things around with our series in Sunday School. The next series with actually be Building Community to try and help strengthen the bonds within our group.
As always, we ask that you continue to pray for us and with us over our teens. We have already had some great conversations about their faith, mental health, peer pressure, and walk with Christ and I can tell you our teens have a lot going on and need your prayers. We will be adding a prayer section to the newsletter and ask that you pray over these request with us.
