If anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him?” 1 John 3:17 (ESV)
God has given you unique talents, gifts, abilities, and skills. But those things weren’t given for your benefit. They were given to you for the benefit of others. And, despite the need to stay closer to home these days, there’s never been a better time to put those gifts to work as you obey God’s command to love your neighbor.

You’re never going to live in harmony with your wife, your husband, your friends, or anybody else without empathy. You can’t have a team without being aware of what’s happening in each other’s lives. That’s why when people work together in an office, they may do work together, but they’re not a team unless they know what’s going on in each other’s lives.

This Sunday is a very special day, Mother's Day. It is a celebration honoring the mother of the family, as well as motherhood and the influence of mothers. It definitely is one of my favorites. I honor my mother, and the ones who have influenced my life as a mother myself.

Please continue to pray for everyone affected or working the front lines still. We are getting closer to seeing progress with our social distancing. I think we all can agree, we are ready to get back to some normalcy. God is working his miracles in showing us just how blessed we are. We have family time again, dinners, games, cooking, and reading the bible together has become our new normal. How wonderful this has been.

What a different but beautiful Easter. Not our usual traditions, but we did celebrate the resurrection of Christ and the gift of eternal life. As we know, tradition contributes a sense of comfort and belonging. It reinforces our beliefs and faith. Christ is Risen! Please continue to pray for all of those affected, and the people on the front lines. I hope you are taking this time to reflect and come closer to our God. We continue to miss you all and can't wait to get back to a little normalcy in our lives.

Pastor Mike and I are missing you so much. We are in the week leading up to Easter, called Holy Week, or "Passion Week;" Maundy Thursday, the Last Supper, where Jesus met with his disciples to observe Passover; and Good Friday, when Jesus would be crucified on the cross. Easter is the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus from the tomb on the third day after his crucifixion.
